Introduction

Discover with us the unknown eastern Himalayas between Bhutan and Nepal. You will trek along the Singelela mountain ridge between India and Nepal, where you can enjoy, if you have a little luck with the weather, a magnificent panorama of the Himalayas of Nepal, and the third-highest mountain in the world, Mt. Khangchendzonga. To the east Mt. Everest can be seen on Nepalese territory, as well as the summits Makalu and Lhotse, while in the north Mt. Khangchendzonga is enthroned as the patron god of the kingdom of Sikkim. The culture of the people of the Sherpa will impress you. The trekking is suitable for participants who would like to be on a hike in the Himalayas at a less extreme altitude (between 2000 and 3600 m above sea level) and without camping. You spend the night in fixed accommodations, and walk about 3 - 6 hours a day.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Darjeeling from Bagdogra Airport or from Travel Module "Delhi", "Kolkata", "Sikkim", "Kalimpong" "Darjeeling with style" or "Bhutan". Overnight at hotel.

Days 2. - 7 : Transfer to the trekking starting point and 6-day trek with overnight stays in mountain cabins. Transfer to Darjeeling on the 7th day with overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 : Transfer to Bagdogra Airport, or continue with Travel Module "Delhi", "Kolkata", "Sikkim", "Kalimpong" "Darjeeling with style" or "Bhutan".

Best Travel Period

Humidity in the Darjeeling & Kalimpong region is very high in summer; the months of October and November are rather suitable as they are usually drier, while mist and rainfall can be expected off and on from March to June and in September. The temperatures are generally as follows:
 

During the Darjeeling trek :
March - April during the day +16 to +24°C , at night +5 to +12°C
October - November during the day +2 to +12 °C, at night - 2 to + 6 °C .
