Die in Arunachal Pradesh stattfindenden Volksfeste und Feierlichkeiten sind vielfältig wie die Kulturen und Traditionen. In den Städten und Siedlungsgebieten mit überwiegend eingewandertem Bevölkerungsanteil werden neben den hinduistischen Festen – die sich nach dem Mondkalender richten – vor allem auch christliche Feiertage begangen. Viele Traditionen und Festtage der abgeschiedener lebenden Stammesbevölkerung sind buddhistisch beeinflusst, andere sind gänzlich einzigartig und werden ausschließlich von einzelnen Stämmen gelebt.
